The four loops of The Crawford Valley Railroad meander around a large pond filled with water lilies, goldfish, and frogs. One of the loops goes through the village of Lily Pad and plays peek-a-boo behind a waterfall. The railroad was begun by bringing in several truck loads of soil and many tons of rocks. The roadbed uses plastic lumber as support for steel track. The trains traverse several long bridges and trestles on this raised-bed railroad.

The Central Ohio O-Scale Engineers (C.O.O.S.E. for short) will be open for our Sunday self-guided tour. They are located in the Kingsdale Shopping Center in Upper Arlington. In addition to the large O-scale modular layout, there is the S-scale Fleck's Circus display, a Z-scale layout and an On30 layout. The On30 layout is powered by Digitrax. All are nicely done and definitely worth stopping in to see for our convention attendees.
This will be the last open house for C.O.O.S.E. as the section of the shopping center they're in is slated for demolition and redevelopment. We thought it might already be underway by this time, but the developers and city are still finalizing their plans.
