Two sets of North–South railroad tracks are located on the other side of Sinclair road.
The first set (double tracks) is the former Pennsylvania Railroad – Columbus to Sandusky line. In the mid-50’s, this line was a major coal hauler. The Pennsy received coal from the both the Norfolk and Western, and the Chesapeake & Ohio. It had limited passenger service at that time. It is now owned and operated by Norfolk Southern and still hauls a lot of coal.
The farther set (single track) is the former Big Four Railroad or The Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway – Cleveland to Cincinnati line. In the mid-50’s, this line hosted nine New York Central Passenger trains. This track is now owned and operated by CSX.
The two rail lines cross each other about two-miles north of the Ramada, just south of state route 161.
