“Ballasting” presented by Harley Smith - Ballasting your track.

“Clouds and Backdrops Made Easy” - presented by Darrell Logan - will afford the participants a hands-on experience in painting clouds on your backdrop. Also demonstrated will be the use of multi-dimensional backdrops and false front buildings to enhance the appearance of your backdrops.

“Craftsman Kit Techniques” - presented by Gerri Doebelin - will cover the building, painting or staining and weathering of craftsman kits. Gerri is a superb modeler of wood kits of all kinds. After learning some great techniques and tips, you may want to view her fully completed layout on Sunday. View photographs of her layout.

“Operations on The Pennsylvania Southern” - presented by Bob Weinheimer - The Pennsylvania Southern is a freelance railroad operating between Pittsburgh and the deep South in 1980. This clinic will describe train scheduling, dispatching practices, train operation, and car forwarding practices. It will also include a description of a program written by the presenter governing car forwarding methods used on the layout.

“Thirty Minute Scenery” - presented by Terry Bacus - will introduce you to a world of fast scenery techniques, making landscaping and finishing your layout fast, easy and exciting.

Hands on Modeling Clinic

“Lazar Kit Assembly” - presented by Andy Lester - will teach you how to assemble a small lazar kit (from Mountaineer Precision Products). Thirty pre-painted kits, with all the necessary glues and knives will be provided. This clinic is hands-on and is limited to 30 registrants. You must request this clinic on your registration form when you sign up for the convention. Cost: Free.
